I was comissioned by Torquay Museum to evolve their out dated idenity, they desperately needed to lift their public profile. They needed to attract a younger audience and display that museums have more to offer than being homes for dusty artifacts. They wanted to portray that is was a place of learning and fun.
I ended up doing more than an evolution of their exisitng logo, it needed their whole brand redesigned and more. I devised the Q to be a magnifying glass for the explorers of any age. The magnifier highlights specific areas of the museum and it can also be used for temporary exhibitions. The new branding has been applied to all print, website and banners.
